The top one is an animal form, in this case a shark, of a character called Rags. The bottom is my entry for Creature of the Week event, for conceptart.org. The theme for the creature was Slimy Cliff Jumper. I was going for a kangaroo, tree frog look. Experimenting with textures and enjoying what it does to the piece. =)
